Fine weather across the country, but cold conditions remain.
South Africans can look forward to a largely settled and rain-free weekend, with the South African Weather Service forecasting fine conditions across most of the country on Saturday and Sunday. No severe weather warnings, fire danger alerts or advisories have been issued, offering favourable conditions for outdoor activities and travel.
Saturday is expected to be cool to warm across most provinces, with clear skies dominating inland regions. Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and North West will enjoy sunny weather, while the Free State remains cool with some cloud cover in western areas. Along the Western Cape and Northern Cape coasts, morning and evening fog patches may reduce visibility at times, but no rainfall is expected.
The Eastern Cape will remain cool, with colder conditions lingering in northern parts of the province. KwaZulu-Natal can expect a cool to warm day with morning fog along the coast and adjacent interior before clearing to fine weather.
Sunday will bring a slight change in conditions as a cold front moves south of the country. While widespread rain is not expected, there is a 30% chance of isolated showers over parts of the south-eastern interior and adjacent Eastern Cape regions. The remainder of the country is expected to stay dry, with sunny skies continuing over Gauteng, Limpopo, Mpumalanga and much of the central interior.
