South Africans can expect another cold winter morning on Friday, with frost and patches of fog forecast across several provinces before conditions clear to fine weather for most of the day.

According to the South African Weather Service, Gauteng will experience morning frost in some areas before clearing to fine and cool conditions. Temperatures are expected to become warmer in the far northern parts of the province.

Foggy conditions are also expected in parts of Mpumalanga, Limpopo, KwaZulu-Natal and the Eastern Cape. Motorists travelling during the early morning hours have been urged to exercise caution as reduced visibility may affect driving conditions.

In Mpumalanga, fog patches are expected along the northern escarpment before giving way to fine and cool weather, while the Lowveld is expected to be warm. Limpopo residents can expect morning fog over parts of the Western Bushveld and central interior, followed by fine weather with temperatures ranging from cool to warm.
