A cool and unsettled weather pattern will dominate much of South Africa this weekend, with showers and thunderstorms expected across the central and eastern parts of the country while the western interior remains mostly dry and cool.
Saturday will see isolated to scattered showers and thundershowers developing over Gauteng, the Free State, North West, Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
Rain chances of around 30% are expected across much of the interior, while parts of the southern and eastern coastline, especially KwaZulu-Natal and the eastern Eastern Cape, face a higher 60% chance of rain and thunderstorms.
The South African Weather Service has issued a Yellow Level 2 warning for severe thunderstorms over the eastern parts of KwaZulu-Natal.
