The investigation into the violent incident that occurred during the weekend at Kabakum Beach near Varna remains underway as authorities work to establish what triggered the confrontation between two young men that left both hospitalized in critical condition.
The altercation occurred at a beachside restaurant and involved two Bulgarian citizens, aged 19 and 24. According to initial information, a dispute between the men escalated into a physical fight before turning even more serious. During the clash, one of the participants suffered a stab wound, while the other was injured by gunfire.
Emergency medical teams and police officers were dispatched to the scene shortly after the incident was reported at around 6 p.m. Both injured men were transported to hospital, where they remain under treatment with life-threatening injuries.
Investigators continued examining the area late into the night, collecting evidence and reconstructing the sequence of events. Officials have not yet determined the exact motive behind the conflict, and the circumstances that led to the violence are still being clarified.
