A 19-year-old man from Varna was hospitalized after being stabbed during an argument on the city's promenade, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
The teenager and three of his friends got into a dispute with a street musician who was playing the bagpipes on the promenade. Preliminary information indicates that the group had been drinking.
The young man suffered knife wounds, including cuts to his face and back, and received medical treatment before being hospitalized.
Police cordoned off the area following the incident. An investigation is underway to establish the circumstances surrounding the confrontation and the stabbing.
