A mass fight near a restaurant in Sozopol left six people injured and resulted in three arrests, according to police information.

The incident took place near the Calypso restaurant in the seaside town during the early hours of Saturday. A report was received by the local police department at around 4:15 a.m., after a violent confrontation broke out involving several people.

Three men from Dimitrovgrad, Sofia and the village of Uzundzhovo in Haskovo region were detained following the incident. The suspects were held for 24 hours before being released.

Six men between the ages of 19 and 26 were injured during the fight. They suffered minor injuries and told authorities that they had been attacked by security staff working at the restaurant.

According to their statements, employees of the security company responsible for the venue’s protection were involved in the assault. “The victims said they had been attacked and beaten by employees of the security company servicing the restaurant,” police said.
