According to the Burgas Regional Directorate of the Interior Ministry, the fire started at around 5:30 p.m. yesterday in service rooms connected to the hotel’s air conditioning system. Four workers from a private company had reportedly been carrying out repair work in the area shortly before the incident.

Three of the workers managed to escape through a balcony door, but one of them, a 51-year-old man, was unable to get out and died in the fire.

Authorities later confirmed a second death linked to the incident. The second victim was identified as a 64-year-old Ukrainian citizen employed as a maintenance worker at the hotel. According to reports from BNT and BNR, the man was near the scene of the fire when he suddenly felt unwell. He was taken away by ambulance but later died. His body has been sent for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
