Generally clear skies are forecast for most of Monday, with some cloud cover appearing during the afternoon in the north and northwest, a slight rise in temperature and moderately strong winds.

Some rain is forecast during the night in Central Macedonia. Overall, the temperature will hit a high of 36 degrees Celsius on the mainland and 32 in the islands, while winds in the Aegean Sea will blow up to 7 on the Beaufort Scale.

The Greater Athens region will also be windy, with temperatures of up to 33 degrees Celsius. In Thessaloniki, the temperature will be much the same but the wind much lesser and there may be scattered clouds in the afternoon and some rain overnight.

Much the same pattern is expected for the rest of the week, with potential rain in parts of the mainland on Wednesday and Thursday.
