After the recent rainfall and cooler spell, the upcoming weekend will be calmer and more stable. On Saturday, cloud cover will be more pronounced over central and eastern Bulgaria, with a chance of light showers. In western parts of the country, clouds will be variable with sunny breaks, while brief rain is possible mainly in the mountainous areas.

Sunday is expected to be mostly sunny, with temporary cloudiness and a low chance of short, light showers over the mountains and in eastern regions. Temperatures will gradually rise: afternoon highs on Saturday will range between 21°C and 26°C, while on Sunday they will reach between 25°C and 30°C.

The new week will bring distinctly summer-like conditions. Daytime temperatures will mostly range from 27°C to 32°C. A cold atmospheric front is forecast to pass through during the first half of the week. While mornings will remain largely sunny, afternoon and evening hours may see localized thunderstorms, heavy downpours, and an increased risk of hail.

At the end of the week, on Sunday, 21 June, Bulgaria will welcome the start of astronomical summer. Early forecasts indicate that it will arrive with sunny and hot weather.
