Sowore also launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as responsible for the worsening insecurity in the country.

Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, led a mass protest in Abuja on Thursday, calling for the immediate rescue of schoolchildren abducted across Nigeria.

Sowore also launched a scathing attack on President Bola Tinubu, whom he described as responsible for the worsening insecurity in the country.

The fiery human rights activist, who led hundreds of protesters under a nationwide mobilisation, said the demonstration was a “rehearsal” for what he described as a coming revolutionary push against poor governance and insecurity.

Addressing the crowd, he said Nigeria had deteriorated into its worst state compared to neighbouring countries, insisting that citizens could no longer remain silent in the face of mass abductions and killings.
