Human rights activist and presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has announced #OccupyAsoRock and #TinubuMustResign protest, scheduled for Thursday, June 4, 2026, in Abuja, to demand the release of abducted schoolchildren, teachers, and other kidnapping victims across Nigeria.

Sowore made the announcement in a post on X on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, amid growing public outrage over recent mass abductions and attacks on schools in different parts of the country.

According to him, members of the AAC and the Take It Back (TIB) Movement will converge at Eagle Square before marching to the Presidential Villa.

"The leadership of the African Action Congress and its affiliated movement, Take It Back Movement, will march tomorrow, Thursday, June 4, 2026, from Eagle Square in Abuja to the Aso Rock Presidential Villa, beginning at 8:00 a.m.,” Sowore wrote.
