Human rights activist and presidential candidate of African Action Congress ( AAC) , Omoyele Sowore, on Friday vowed to sustain nationwide protests against President Bola Tinubu's administration despite attempts by security agencies to suppress demonstrators.
He described the attack by the policemen who fired teargas at him at the close range as an attempt to intimidate and suppress him and other protesters.
Addressing supporters at the end of a protest march in Abuja, Sowore said Nigerians across several cities had united in demanding an end to insecurity, economic hardship and what he described as poor governance under the current administration.
According to him, protesters took to the streets in Abuja, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Kano, Enugu, Akure, Aba, Makurdi and other parts of the country, carrying a common message: "Tinubu Must Go.
