A crackdown on home marijuana-growing on the southern island of Crete has led to two arrests near the town of Rethymno, authorities said Tuesday.
A police statement said two men aged 61 and 62 were taken into custody Monday and face charges for allegedly growing and dealing in drugs.
A search of their homes and gardens led to the confiscation of 22 cannabis saplings, a small quantity of marijuana, a pair of precision scales and nearly €3,000 in cash, police said.
