June is expected to bring mostly warm weather across Bulgaria, with temperatures generally remaining around or above seasonal norms, according to forecasts from the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH).
Average monthly temperatures are projected to range between 20°C and 22°C in most parts of the country. Slightly higher values, around 23°C, are expected along the Struma Valley, while the higher fields are likely to see averages between 17°C and 19°C. In the mountains, average temperatures will vary from 4°C to 12°C.
Meteorologists expect the lowest temperatures during the month to fall between 8°C and 13°C, while the highest readings could reach between 32°C and 37°C during the warmest days.
Rainfall totals for June are forecast to remain close to normal levels. In the plains, monthly precipitation is expected to range between 50 and 70 liters per square meter. Along the Black Sea coast and in the Struma Valley, totals will likely be lower, between 30 and 50 liters per square meter, while mountainous regions may receive between 70 and 130 liters per square meter.
The first half of June is expected to be more dynamic, with temperatures remaining near or above average and precipitation levels occasionally exceeding normal values. Weather conditions will often be unstable, creating favorable conditions for the development of cumulus and storm clouds.
