Marcos says he watched in ‘horror’ as Senate drama unfolded

TOKYO, Japan — President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Friday said he had watched “with horror” the recent Senate fiasco and never did he imagine that the legislative chamber would “descend” to that level.

In a sit-down interview with Philippine media here, Marcos was asked how concerning the recent happenings in the Senate were.

“I watched with horror that the Senate has become this. I looked at my other fellow senators. ES Ralph (referring to Executive Secretary Ralph Recto) and I would constantly look at one another. ‘Were we like that when we were senators? Were we doing those things?'”
