MANILA, Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. addressed the joint session of the National Diet of Japan in Tokyo on May 28, one of the highlights of his four-day state visit to Japan.

Not all visiting foreign leaders are given the privilege. The last Philippine leader to address Japan’s parliament was the late president Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III in 2015.
