The Elegant Nurses Forum has accused officials at the Primary Health Care Oke-Adu in Ibadan North East Local Government Area of Oyo State of promoting quackery, intimidating healthcare workers, and creating a hostile environment for professionals who raise concerns about unethical practices.
In a statement issued by its National Coordinator, Nurse Thomas Abiodun Olamide, the group described the alleged situation at the facility as a dangerous threat to patient safety and professional ethics within Nigeria’s healthcare sector.
The group said credible reports available to it indicated that healthcare professionals had raised concerns over the alleged training and delegation of clinical responsibilities to unqualified individuals within the facility.
According to the group, instead of the allegations being professionally investigated, the affected workers allegedly faced intimidation, emotional victimisation, hostility, and workplace harassment.
