The group alleged that he may have been practising beyond the legal scope of his qualifications while also falsely presenting himself as a medical doctor without the necessary certification from the appropriate regulatory authorities.
The Elegant Nurses Forum (ENF) has called for an immediate investigation into allegations of quackery, illegal medical practice, unlawful training of unqualified healthcare workers, and sexual exploitation involving Mr. Williams Olugbenro, owner of Omi-Iye Trado-Bone and Community Health Services Clinic in Ilese-Ijebu, Ogun State.
In a statement issued on Sunday and signed by its National Coordinator, Nurse Thomas Abiodun Olamide, the group urged the Ogun State Government, law enforcement agencies and relevant regulatory bodies to launch what it described as a thorough and impartial investigation into the allegations.
According to ENF, information available suggests that Olugbenro, who is popularly referred to as "Dr. Williams," has allegedly been providing treatment for patients suffering from various medical conditions, including obstetric and gynaecological cases and other illnesses that ordinarily require the expertise of licensed medical practitioners.
