The Director of the Primary Health Care Centre (PHC), Oke-Adu, Ibadan, Dr. Adedoyin, has been accused of intimidation and victimisation, including allegedly threatening a nurse who was among whistleblowers that exposed practices said to have exposed patients to avoidable risks, injuries, infections, and possible deaths.
Sources familiar with the development told SaharaReporters that the threat occurred during a phone conversation.
According to a source, Dr. Adedoyin contacted one of the nurses linked to the whistleblowing allegations and ordered her to attend a meeting despite being off duty and outside Oyo State at the time.
The source said the nurse had travelled to Abeokuta, Ogun State, for personal engagements when she received the call.
