In a fresh message obtained by SaharaReporters on Tuesday, a source within the institution alleged that management officials had intensified pressure on students and staff after the reports were published.

Fresh allegations have emerged against the management of the College of Nursing Sciences, St. Charles Borromeo Specialist Hospital following SaharaReporters’ investigations into alleged extortion, intimidation, arbitrary expulsions and the abandonment of students during a psychiatric clinical posting in Enugu State.

Students and insiders within the institution have now accused the Provost, Mrs Theresa Ita Aniedu Obi-Odinukwe, and the institution’s administrator, Rev. Fr. Fidelis Nwanze, of allegedly threatening students and attempting to suppress fallout from SaharaReporters’ publications.

“Since morning both Rev. Fr administrator and the woman — Provost — have been making calls to pull the reports down to the extent of threatening the students and instilling fear in them through phone calls,” the source said.
