The embattled provost of Ezzy College of Nursing Sciences, Enugu State, Mrs Ifeyinwa Okwudo, has reportedly been removed from office, months after she came under public scrutiny over allegations of victimising students, including the suspension of a whistleblower and the alleged assault of a pregnant student.

The development was disclosed by education advocate and social media activist Alex Onyia, who has been involved in several campaigns against alleged abuses in educational institutions across Nigeria.

In a post shared on his X handle, Onyia announced Okwudo's removal and warned individuals accused of oppressing students that accountability would eventually catch up with them.

"To those of you oppressing our students: it's only a matter of time before we shine our light on you," Onyia wrote.
