Akinsulere, who recently secured the party’s ticket ahead of the election, said his ambition was driven by growing frustration over economic hardship, poor governance, and what he called years of failed political representation in the constituency.

The African Action Congress (AAC) candidate for the Ondo State House of Assembly election in Ondo West Constituency II, Segun Akinsulere, has promised to champion what he described as “people-oriented leadership” and transparent governance if elected in the 2027 general elections.

Akinsulere, who recently secured the party’s ticket ahead of the election, said his ambition was driven by growing frustration over economic hardship, poor governance, and what he called years of failed political representation in the constituency.

The AAC candidate said residents of Ondo West had continued to suffer neglect despite repeated political promises, stressing that the constituency needs leaders who understand the realities facing ordinary people.

Speaking after emerging as the party’s candidate, Akinsulere said his campaign would focus on accountability, youth empowerment, economic development, healthcare improvement, and grassroots participation in governance.
