ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — Authorities have confirmed a second fatality in the ongoing search, rescue, and retrieval operations at the site of a collapsed nine-story building under construction in Barangay Balibago, as rescuers continue searching for individuals believed trapped beneath the rubble.
In an update released early Monday (May 25), the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) said one trapped individual was retrieved from the debris and rushed to a nearby hospital, but was declared dead on arrival.
