ANGELES CITY, Pampanga — A Malaysian national who was a person with disability (PWD) was confirmed dead after a nine-story under-construction building collapsed in Barangay Balibago here before dawn Sunday, May 24.
The Bureau of Fire Protection confirmed the fatality as emergency crews carried out delicate manual search and rescue operations amid unstable debris along Teodoro Street.
Rescuers have also established contact with several individuals trapped under the collapsed mixed-use structure.
