The stepfather of two-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza has been charged with murder in the disappearance of the child.Shannon Miller, 24, of Goodwood, Tobago, was charged by police yesterday.The Trinidad and Tobago Police Service (TTPS) advised in a media release that an audience was held with a specialist adviser attached to the Office of the Director of ­Public Prosecutions (DPP) to review the circumstances surrounding the child’s disappearance.

Angelo was reported missing on May 11, 2026, after which a comprehensive and multi-agency investigation was immediately launched but to date a body has not been found.According to the TTPS, following a detailed review of the evidence gathered, legal advice was provided that there is sufficient evidence to proceed with criminal charges.Five of the seven suspects who were previously held in connection with the child’s disappearance were released on Friday.
