STILL MISSING: Angelo Tobias Plaza
He was informed of the indictable charge of murder but was not called upon to enter a plea. The matter was adjourned to November 30, when a sufficiency hearing is expected to take place.Angelo was reported missing to police around 7.30 p.m. on May 11.What followed was a series of land, sea and air searches by police, Defence Force and Coast Guard personnel along with assistance from the Tobago Emergency Management Agency (TEMA) and the Hunters Search and Rescue Team (HSRT). The search for Angelo shifted to the Studley Park landfill on May 17, after investigators received a tip-off suggesting the child’s body may have been dumped at the landfill sometime after Mother’s Day. However, he was not found.Miller was eventually charged with Angelo’s murder last Saturday, after investigators held an audience with a specialist adviser attached to the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) to review the circumstances surrounding the child’s disappearance. In a statement, police said following a detailed assessment of the evidence gathered during the investigation, legal advice was provided indicating that there was sufficient evidence to proceed with criminal charges against Miller.
