As the search for missing two-year-old Angelo Tobias Plaza entered its fifth day yesterday, there were indications that the child may have gone missing before Monday.Sources told the Sunday Express that video evidence in the matter, as well as efforts to retrace the steps of Shannon Miller, stepfather of Angelo, and the child’s mother Kalifah Tobias from last Sunday into Monday afternoon are available.Information reaching the Sunday Express indicates that investigators are now examining whether Angelo may have disappeared sometime between Sunday night and Monday morning.Sources told the Sunday Express the child was believed to have been with relatives in Goodwood, Tobago, on Sunday, as police work to establish a clear timeline surrounding his disappearance.Tobias and Miller remained in police custody up to press time yesterday at two separate police stations in Tobago.Superintendent Rodhil Kirk told the Sunday Express investigators are consulting legal authorities as they continue to determine whether any charges may arise from the case.“Consultation would have to be done with the legal authorities to determine whether any charges would be laid, because it is an ongoing investigation and the police must do everything within its power to ascertain the truth of what might have transpired. It is an investigative process,” Kirk said.Meanwhile, Pembroke resident Chandra Jerry became emotional while speaking about the ongoing search efforts, saying she hopes more residents come forward to assist.“We the people must be the voice for this baby and it is hurting my heart to come every day and seeing few people coming out to support this little child.“It is a child with no voice so we the people of Tobago, wherever we are, (are) supposed to be the voice for this child,” Jerry said.Clint Thomas of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team said search teams yesterday combed areas behind the child’s home, including nearby hillsides, a cassava field, and a water tank outside the house. As the search enters another day, relatives are now planning a candlelight vigil for next week while hopes remain that the child will be found.Angelo was officially reported missing on Monday night from his Goodwood Bay home.Initial reports suggested the child may have wandered toward the sea after cries were heard in the area.Police say enquiries are ongoing amid differing accounts in the toddler’s disappearance.Antonio Plaza, the child’s father, publicly appealed on Friday for answers and closure.
