During the night, cloud cover over Bulgaria is expected to gradually break up, giving way to mostly clear skies. A west-northwesterly wind will remain present at a moderate level, setting the tone for a generally calm start to the week.
Monday will bring variable cloudiness across much of the country. In the afternoon, cloud cover will increase, although rainfall is expected to remain limited and mostly confined to isolated mountain areas, where only light showers are forecast.
Wind conditions will remain noticeable throughout the day, with a moderate to locally strong west-northwesterly flow. Daytime highs are expected between 19°C and 24°C, with Sofia around 19°C.
In mountainous regions, cloudiness will also vary, becoming more pronounced after midday. Any precipitation will be weak and scattered, affecting only small areas. Wind conditions at higher elevations will be more pronounced, reaching moderate to strong levels.
At around 1,200 meters altitude, temperatures will peak near 13°C, while at 2,000 meters they will be close to 6°C.
