Atmospheric pressure across Bulgaria is expected to edge slightly upward over the weekend, remaining just above the monthly average, according to the forecast.

During the night, conditions will be mostly clear with very light winds, creating a generally calm atmosphere. In the morning hours, reduced visibility is likely in some eastern areas and in valley regions due to localized mist or haze.

On Saturday, the country will start off with widespread sunshine, but the weather will become increasingly unstable after midday. By the afternoon and continuing into the night, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds are expected to develop over many regions, bringing short-lived but locally heavy rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms. Hail is also possible. Wind patterns will vary, with a moderate northwesterly flow across much of the country, while eastern regions will see a southeasterly component. Daytime highs will generally range between 25°C and 30°C, with Sofia near 26°C.

Mountain areas will see mostly sunny conditions before noon, followed by a deterioration later in the day. After midday, cloud development will bring widespread showers and thunderstorms in many locations, again with potential hail. The most intense activity is expected over the Central Balkan and Rhodope regions. Winds at higher altitudes will remain moderate from the west-southwest. Temperatures are forecast at around 21°C at 1200 meters and about 14°C at 2000 meters.
