Weather conditions across Bulgaria will remain mostly calm and dry over the weekend, with sunshine prevailing in most areas and temperatures gradually rising into early next week. Atmospheric pressure will stay above the monthly average and is expected to change little during the day.
Overnight, skies will be mostly clear across the country. More cloudiness is expected in the far southwestern areas and along the Black Sea coast, although little or no rainfall is forecast. Winds will generally be light from the east, becoming moderate from the north-northeast in eastern parts of the country.
Saturday will bring mostly sunny weather, with cumulus clouds developing during the afternoon. The chance of rain will remain low. Winds will be light to moderate, becoming strong in southeastern Bulgaria, mainly from the northeast.
Temperatures will range from 25-26°C in northeastern Bulgaria to around 32°C in the far southwest. Sofia is expected to reach about 27°C.
Mountain areas will also see predominantly sunny conditions, with cumulus clouds forming around and after midday. No significant precipitation is expected. East-northeasterly winds will be moderate to strong but will weaken during the day. Temperatures will reach approximately 21°C at 1,200 meters and 13°C at 2,000 meters.
