Six of the eight suspects arrested earlier this week in connection with an armed bank robbery in central Greece have been remanded in custody after appearing before an investigating magistrate, while two others were released under restrictive conditions.
The suspects, aged between 24 and 33, were transferred under heavy police guard to the Athens courts complex.
According to ERT, three of the accused admitted involvement in Monday’s robbery at a bank in Kato Tithorea, Fthiotida, during which about €215,000 was stolen at gunpoint on Monday.
The defendants reportedly declined to comment on other robberies attributed to the group, invoking their right to remain silent.
All eight identified themselves as anarchists during the proceedings.
