Three men have been arrested following a car chase after a shooting in a central Athens mobile phone shop Wednesday, police said.
The afternoon attack took place on Patission Avenue, in a ship owned by a Pakistani national who was shot in the leg, according to state ERT television. There was no reference to an attempt to rob the man, and the motive of the attack was not immediately clear.
The man who shot the shopowner escaped in a car with another three people in it. Police caught up with them on Kifissou Avenue and gave chase, eventually forcing the car to stop. One of the men managed to escape while the rest were arrested.
ERT said all three were Albanian nationals.
