Mayor Zohran Mamdani defended his controversial map of immigrant enclaves across the Big Apple, saying more communities would be added after notably omitting the famed Little Italy as well as Jewish and Irish communities. The map, titled “New York City Immigrant Enclaves,” identified 30 immigrant communities with numbered flags across the five boroughs. “It’s clearly not an exhaustive list of the more than 200 ethnic enclaves,” Hizzoner said at an unrelated press conference on Friday.
