The Director-General of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, on Tuesday insisted that the organisation had not been dissolved despite the constitution of the APC Presidential Campaign Council.

Speaking at an emergency meeting of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors in Abuja, Uzodimma reminded members that the organisation was established by President Bola Tinubu himself and remained distinct from, though complementary to, the newly formed campaign structure.

Tuesday’s meeting, he stated, was meant to quell growing anxiety among the group’s state coordinators and members after what he described as attempts by “mischief makers” to suggest that the structure would be dissolved ahead of the campaigns.

He explained, “Renewed Hope Ambassadors was created by Mr President, not by Senator Hope Uzodimma, and upon the creation of Renewed Hope Ambassadors, we were charged with the responsibility of taking the achievements of the government of President Bola Tinubu to the people, to educate the people, to create awareness, to let the people know the difference between the Nigeria before 2023 and Nigeria after 2023.”

The governor disclosed that the group’s media tour of the six geopolitical zones was already ongoing, highlighting the administration’s reform achievements, and said nothing about the recent formation of the campaign council had altered the group’s standing or mandate.
