Two burnt power poles have caused power outages in parts of Samoa over the weekend, with EPC crews working to restore electricity.
On Sunday, a high-voltage pole in Tanumapua caught fire, affecting customers connected to the Palisi Feeder.
The Electric Power Corporation (EPC) said its teams were attending the site to carry out the necessary repairs and power would be restored once the work was completed.
An hour later, EPC later confirmed that the necessary restoration work had been completed and power had been restored to customers affected by the Palisi Feeder outage.
The latest incident follows a similar outage in Matautu on Saturday evening, where a power pole was burnt and had to be replaced.
