Bulgaria is in for another hot weekend, with temperatures expected to reach 36°C on Sunday, although cloud cover and isolated rain will return in some areas, according to the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology.
Overnight, clouds will break up across most of the country, leaving mostly clear skies. Cloudiness will remain more pronounced in southwestern and far southeastern areas, where some rain is possible. Winds will weaken and ease in many places.
Saturday will be mostly sunny, although the morning will be relatively cool. In the afternoon, temporary cloud increases are expected over northeastern Bulgaria, without precipitation. Later, high and medium clouds will begin moving in from the west, with rain possible in some parts of the far western regions.
Winds will be light to moderate from the east-northeast. Daytime temperatures will generally range from 30°C to 35°C, with slightly lower readings in northeastern Bulgaria. Sofia is expected to reach around 32°C.
Along the Black Sea coast, Saturday will remain mostly sunny. The far southern coast will see more cloud cover in the morning, with light rain possible in some areas. Cloudiness will temporarily increase over the northern coast in the afternoon, but no precipitation is expected there.
