A forensic examination of the body of a 45-year-old woman murdered by her ex-husband at the entrance to her Athens apartment building suggests she may have been forced to kneel before he shot her in the head with a revolver.
Her 48-year-old killer then shot himself in the right temple.
According to the autopsy, conducted by the Piraeus forensic service, the woman was shot while she was in a lower position than the man.
Police are investigating jealousy as a possible motive and are examining the man’s phone and other communications with the victim.
The man and the woman victims were of Albanian origin
