A 41-year-old man found guilty of murdering his 32-year-old wife and hiding her body in the attic of their home in the Athens district of Ambelokipi in December 2024 has been sentenced to life imprisonment.
Finding him guilty by a majority verdict, Athens Mixed Jury Court refused to accept the four mitigating circumstances he had requested.
During the trial, the public prosecutor rejected as unfounded the man’s claims that his wife intended to abandon him and her children or that she had an extramarital affair.
