MANILA, Philippines — After days of experiencing heavy rains due to the southwest monsoon or habagat, the state weather bureau on Wednesday said that weather in Metro Manila and other areas of Luzon may improve on Thursday.

This information is based on the 11 a.m. weather forecast of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja said that rains due to the habagat will be less frequent over Metro Manila, Abra, Benguet, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Cavite, Batangas and Oriental Mindoro.
