Ferry services from ports serving Athens were gradually returning to normal Saturday as strong winds eased and sailing restrictions were lifted, although operators continued to adjust schedules.

Services from Piraeus, Greece’s main port, were operating normally. A sailing ban at the ports of Rafina and Lavrio was lifted at 1 p.m., allowing departures to resume.

From Rafina, ferries resumed services to popular Cycladic islands including Andros, Tinos, Mykonos and Paros. From Lavrio, services resumed to Tinos and Mykonos.

Several high-speed ferries also departed Piraeus for destinations including Paros, Naxos, Santorini and Crete.

Operators warned that schedules could change and urged passengers to check with ferry companies or local port authorities before traveling.
