Strong winds have disrupted ferry services in parts of Greece, with several sailings cancelled as gale-force conditions swept across the Aegean Sea.
According to the Hellenic National Meteorological Service (EMY), northerly winds of force 8 and locally force 9 are prevailing across the Aegean.
From the port of Rafina, the 5:30 p.m. Fast Ferries service aboard the Theologos P. to Andros, Tinos and Mykonos has been cancelled.
Disruptions have also been reported at the port of Lavrio, where the afternoon sailings to Kythnos operated by the Marmari Express (Karystia Lines), Makedon (Goutsos Lines) and Ionis (Triton Ferries) have been called off.
Meanwhile, Seajet’s SuperStar ferry is returning to Lavrio, after winds prevented it from docking at Andros and Tinos.
