The Athens Stock Exchange stabilized Wednesday, with investors continuing to selectively pick stocks.

The ASE General Index ended almost unchanged at 2,613.73 (-0.03%).

Turnover dropped to €242.55 million, not an unexpected occurrence in August; indeed, lower turnover will probably define the rest of the month.

Blue chips ended up 0.04% higher; the banking sub-index gained 0.27% and mid-caps dropped 0.32%.

The top gaining blue chips were Cenergy (5.14%), EYDAP (2.61%) and Helleniq Energy (2.21%).
