The Pudukottai district administration and the School Education department jointly organised a special grievances redress camp to ensure 100 % enrollment in higher education here on Friday. The camp was presided over by the District Collector M. Aruna at the Collectorate.The special camp was conducted for those students who had completed Plus Two in 2025-26 in government schools without joining colleges to pursue their higher education as well as for students who had written the supplementary exam and for those who were unable to get certificates to pursue higher education. A total number of 45 students accompanied by their parents participated in the camp and submitted petitions to the Collector containing their demands. Of them, 13 students got direct admission to government arts colleges. Four got direct admission to polytechnic colleges and two others joined the Industrial Training Institutes. The Chief Educational Officer, Pudukottai Shanmugam, principal of government arts colleges, polytechnics, and ITIs and School Education Department officials participated in the camp, an official release said.
