The district Collector S. Kandasamy on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) received 35 petitions from students and their parents at a higher education guidance programme and special grievances redress camp held at the Collectorate.The petitions related to admissions to higher educational institutions, education loans, scholarships, community, income and residence certificates, coaching for competitive examinations, student bus pass concessions, Aadhaar-related issues and banking services. Handing over the petitions to the officials concerned, the Collector directed them to take immediate action.He said no student should face obstacles in pursuing education or higher studies and that the district administration had coordinated with various departments to resolve students’ grievances through the special camp.The Collector also urged students to make use of the government initiatives, including private sector job fairs, free coaching for government recruitment examinations and civil services, entrepreneurship development programmes and bank loan facilities, to improve their higher education and employment prospects.
