A placement camp will be held for aspiring apprentices at the District Employment and Career Guidance Centre in Pudukottai from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on July 20.According to an official announcement by Pudukottai District Collector M. Aruna on Monday, several private and public sector companies are expected to participate in the camp.Men and women who have graduated from government or private schools or hold a degree in any subject, will be eligible to apply for the Optional Trade apprenticeship.Those interested must present their original school and college certificates.Financial assistance of sums ranging from ₹12,000 to ₹16,000 would be paid to candidates who are selected for apprenticeships.Qualified apprentices will receive a certificate from the Central government, upon completion of their training, said the release.
