To provide apprenticeship opportunities for youth in Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), a camp will be conducted at the District Skill Training Office in Tiruchi on June 10.The camp is open to candidates who have not previously undergone apprenticeship training. Eligible participants include government and private Industrial Training Institute (ITI) graduates who completed their studies during 2021–22, 2023–24, and 2024–25, candidates who have passed Class VIII, and those who have passed or failed Classes X and XII. Both men and women are eligible to apply.Around 500 apprenticeship vacancies are expected to be filled through the participation of MSMEs in the district. Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend ranging from ₹9,600 to ₹15,000 from the respective establishments.Candidates who successfully complete one year of apprenticeship training will be awarded the National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) under the provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961.For information, candidates may contact the District Skill Training Office at the Government ITI in Tiruverumbur or call 9865866972, 9443644967, or 0431-2553314, a press release said.
