According to a report by the “Iranian Teachers’ Trade Challenge” Telegram channel, the Primary Board for Investigating Administrative Offenses at the Education Department of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province has sentenced Ali-Hasan Bahamin, a teachers’ union activist and physics teacher in Yasuj, to forced retirement with a reduction of two pay grades.
According to the ruling, the charges against Bahamin include “participation in illegal gatherings of educators’ trade groups,” “insulting state officials,” and other offenses deemed by the board to fall under Clause 32 of Article 8 of the Administrative Offenses Investigation Law.
Ali-Hasan Bahamin is a prominent figure within teachers’ trade organizations in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province. He was previously arrested and sentenced to prison by the judiciary in connection with his labor and civic advocacy.
This administrative sentence comes amid a broader trend in recent years in which numerous teachers’ union activists in Iran have faced administrative penalties, including dismissal, suspension, and forced retirement, in addition to judicial prosecution.
