MANILA, Philippines — Former Negros Oriental Rep. Jing Paras, through his counsel Mark Tolentino, on Tuesday asked the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for copies of records related to allegations that he and Batangas Rep. Leandro Leviste were involved in a “honey trap” for Executive Secretary Ralph Recto.
The requested records include affidavits and sworn statements related to the alleged human trafficking modus operandi.
In a Viber message to the INQUIRER, Tolentino said he went to the NBI headquarters in Pasay City on Tuesday to submit the letter addressed to NBI Director Melvin Matibag.
