MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Jinggoy Estrada said on Thursday that he and his camp are preparing to show that there are “irregularities” in the plunder, graft, and bribery cases filed against him.

The Office of the Ombudsman filed the cases against Estrada before the Sandiganbayan over alleged government flood-control project anomalies, following the Department of Justice’s (DOJ) recommendation.

“We will exhaust all legal remedies. Currently, my lawyers are preparing the appropriate steps to expose the irregularities in the process, as well as the evidence that was not given sufficient weight and consideration,” Estrada said in a mix of English and Filipino.
