Parts of Vaitele will experience a temporary power interruption on Saturday as the Electric Power Corporation (EPC) carries out scheduled upgrades to its power network.
The power interruption is scheduled from 11 am to 5 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2026, affecting parts of Vaitele.
EPC said the works will include the installation of a new transformer, new high-voltage poles, and the replacement of damaged low-voltage poles.
The corporation said the temporary shutdown is required to allow its teams to safely complete the upgrades.
“Power will be restored as soon as the works are successfully completed,” EPC said.
